Why am I keep smelling somebody cooking food so late at night EVERY SINGLE DAY!? Like seriously, I keep smelling vegetables being cooked, omelette being made etc... But it's making me going hungry at night BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP when I keep smelling food being made.

Weird things about living in HDB flats. Especially when distances between flats can be so little (or it could be a carpark away), you literally (or mostly) can see what the other person is doing. And now even smell out whether they are cooking food or not. Oh FISHHHHHH

It's late but I can't sleep. Trying to finish up Japanese composition but I can't resist to urge to surf net while I'm trying to form sentences with the grammar I learnt. And the topic is quite a boring one [私の習い事] which direct translates to [My lesson], in the compo I'm supposed to write about lessons (school not counted) that I attended after I was borned till present. I'm writing about attending Japanese classes since I haven't pick up driving, and all the extra lessons like swimming, violin classes... that I took up were sort of tie up with school. Unless I make up one, since it's just a compo.

If you remembered the Akihabara stabbing incident that took placed just last month, apparently there are many copycats of the similar crime that sprang up; announcing threats/notices on the Internet forums before committing the acts. Well, some fool tries to do the same thing to Mizuki Nana and fans (in Japan) but luckily he got arrested before he could go on to do what he wanted. Why? Last weekend (same Sat & Sun that Cosfest 08 was held), Mizuki Nana was having her summer live LIVE FIGHTER Concert. (Of course I didn't attend both Cosfest & Live Fighter Concert as I was a coward and a starving and poor student.) Those copycats are a crazy bunch of bored people with nothing better to do arh...

It's a good thing the concert ended safely. And Nana is going to release a new single on 1st October and release Blu-Ray version of her Live Fighter concert. YAY!! Why? because this Blu-Ray is going to be in the same region as the one in US, Japan and South East Asia!! That means when I buy a blu-ray player in sg, the disc will be playable by the player lah. (If I get the one with Region A of coz.) One step further in supporting my favourite artist.

thebakasaru, I saw your photos on so many anime blogs today. And your cosplay of Ranka looks good. Wah, you're famous already liao.

Overloaded with school stuff, and yesterday had to hand in programming lab project for cs4247 before midnight so stayed in school till that time to finish it up. Didn't stay in school like last time so took a cab home. Today I have no lesson and spent some time to rest and catch up on NM lectures. This week CNM department has this e-learning week where all the NM modules this week, will attend lectures or tutorials online instead of attending in person. In a way it's good as we can listen to the lectures anytime we want though. But for tutorials we have to attend it online during the stipulated tutorial timing.

new single STARCAMP EP. I should go get my copy soon, but I got the mp3s already so a short review.

Astrogation - most of the reviewers said this song is rather mainstream popish, I kinda agreed. Probably due to the arrangement of the music, but this song is also the February theme song for music program '音楽戦士 MUSIC FIGHTER', one of the popular music program where popular j-pop artists (YUI, Ayumi Hamasaki, w-inds, etc...) appeared. So that explained the mainstream popish sounding-ness. PV

COSMIC LOVE - My least favourite of the whole single. OP theme for anime Rosario to Vampire, one harem anime. Didn't leave a great impression on me though.

Dancing in the velvet moon - the real highlight, and the one that I will repeat on my playlist. Also the ending theme for Rosario to Vampire (if the opening is just as good, but I don't watch the anime so anyway). If Justice to Believe and ETERNAL BLAZE were to mix together, you get Dancing in the velvet moon. no PV, but full version of song

空時計 (Soradokei) - Not fast pacing, but it reminded me of the mellow songs in her older albums where the tune is slow, but not exactly sad.

The brillant article basically identified clearly the discourses between the world's anime industry and Japan's anime industry, and also issues regarding fansubs.

A new I caught on a Chinese tabloid many damn days ago, yesterday I found clips related to it since I was doing stuff for JS tutorial presentation coming up on Wednesday. (Yikes!)

Sawajiri Erika, 21 borned exactly on the same day, month, year as me. (Double Yikes!) But anyway, she was the same person who starred in the dorama 1 litre of tears as the female lead. Seriously, after watching several more videos available on youtube, the media and public was so upset about her attitude and started criticizing her the very next day. Even when she posted an apology on her official site, the scrupulous media just could not give up talking about her and started questioning the credibility of her words use.

Watching 1 litre of tears didn't gave me the impression that Sawajiri Erika is actually quite famous for being a diva, I always thought she is just like any normal girl. Guess you can't judge a person by its looks. Note that some hosts actually addressed her Erika様 on some variety shows. Sawajiri Erika the 女王様 wasn't something I expected. =/

腐女子 (literally means Rotten Women, not good I know) or Fujyoshi is a term for female otaku who are into anime manga stuff. And it especially refers to females who are into BL (Boys Love) or yaoi.

While Otaku (御宅) refers to guys who are into hentai, moe stuff, "腐女子" is given for the female counterparts.

Too bad I couldn't find a English version on the definition of Fujyoshi Wikipedia, there is a Chinese version on Wiki here.

Translation of the Chinese on origins of the term:

「腐女子（ふじょし）」一詞源自於日語，是由同音的「婦女子（ふじょし）」轉化而來，為喜愛BL的女性自嘲的用語。腐女子的「腐」在日文有無可救藥的意思，而腐女子是專門指稱對於男男愛情——BL系作品情有獨鍾的女性，通常是喜歡此類作品的女性之間彼此自嘲的講法。非此族群以「腐女子」稱呼這些女性時，則是帶有貶低、蔑視意味的詞彙。在日本一些地方，直接称呼对方为“腐女”是不礼貌的事情。情況相近，也被外界作為帶有貶意的稱呼還有「御宅族（オタク）」。（不過御宅原先並非自嘲用語）

In some places of Japan, directly calling each other "Fujyoshi" is rude. Similarly, other circle has a derogatory term "Otaku". (But Otaku is not term that be used in a jokingly manner.)

Like 'Moe', using 'Fu' represents Fujyoshi having BL fantasies with designated male characters or relationships etc in ACG (Anime, Comic, Games) or reality.

I know this from here. Hmmmm, this term doesn't sound so good for those yaoi friends in my opinion. Who likes to be called a "rotten woman" anyway. =/

I think I forgot how my ears were pierced about 2 years ago. It wasn't a pleasant experience though. One side of the earhole were still bleeding and nearly on the verge of closing during that time. Now the earholes were much better and aren't on the verge of closing even if I don't put on earrings for days in a row.

Ordered Saiunkoku Monogatari novels through Amazon.co.jp with shipping through vPOSTJAPAN. I hoping to save some money through getting the books online instead of getting it at Kinokuniya which could cost about $13 or $14 per book when it's only cost $5 or $6 online. Guess I won't know the exact shipping costs until I received the items. vPOST claimed that it can save 20% of the shipping costs though.

What's the point of saying bad things about people when you don't even have any idea of what is really happening and when you don't even know the person who is the one being bad-mouth on.

I feel like I'm becoming guilty of committing such a hideous crime. Someone just hang me, gun-shot me or whatever punishment that I deserved.

Since when we humans have sank so low to go the point of saying so-so is being such a bitch or a sucker for the silly things that they have done? I'm so tired of hearing all this crap all the time. Have mercy, I really don't want to go around judging people especially those I don't know or those I don't even know existed. What the hell they did is seriously their own problem. When time comes, they will get back the price they need to pay for the things they had done.

I keep my mouth and ears shut for any lousy gossips and rumours.

It always stuck me hard when I witnessed the 'happening' of supposed guy and girl who were together suddenly split for reasons which I do not know. It's the case of Guy A is seemingly going out with Girl A and then one fine day, you saw Guy A holding hands with Girl B, Girl B with some Guy C. What I find the facts hard to accept is that you happened to know every single one of them.

This going out with somebody else be it another girl or a guy, it would always leave me feeling so "Argh, how the hell they are together? And WHY?"

Somehow I get pretty bad impression of people who suddenly split and go with somebody else like it is so easy. I dunno, it's just weird.

Maybe I shouldn't to be poking into people relationship business, but I just do not feel right about it.

Now there is a stupidest group project I ever done that is so infuriating. I almost want to give up and forgo the marks (pretty puny) than to endure emotional, mental and physical stress that is giving everyone.
